Happy New Year! Welcome to my first newsletter of 2020. It is a new year and the beginning of a new decade. My women’s conference was held the second weekend of January, and our theme was Emergence: A year of magic, miracles, and manifestation. As I was working on my presentations, I stood in awe of how magical and miraculous my life has been.
The dictionary definition of magic is the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces. It is not my definition. I believe magic is about the truth of being connected to and revealing the power living within us, the magic we came here with when we were birthed on this planet.
As I reflected on magic, I remembered moments I DID NOT CREATE through goals. I was present, and the universe reminded me I was here to express. Here are some examples:
- I flew internationally as a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines. A premier airline at the time. I was not thinking about travel when I saw an ad one day in the paper. Something in me told me to apply, and in a brief time, I got an interview. I had never considered being a flight attendant, but within a month, I was on my way to training in Kansas City.
- I became the first black Miss Minnesota Universe because a photographer I just met submitted my photo to the pageant. I didn’t believe anyone would consider a black girl to be in a pageant. So, I was amazed when I was accepted and ultimately won the crown.
- I moved to Vegas to study with two teachers who had been studio trainers in Hollywood as I worked as a cocktail waitress. I auditioned and was hired to be a dancer at the MGM Grand hotel. I was in the first black line of dancers in Las Vegas. I never considered myself as a dancer. I was auditioning as a singer. MGM was looking for an understudy to the lead, and I was invited to dance. They were amazed I looked like her. Frankly, so was I.
- I was the first Lexie on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. I had done a small role with five lines; someone remembered me and offered me the part without auditioning.
These are just examples. In every case, I wasn’t trying to get anything. I certainly didn’t understand the power of intention. Now I know magic and manifestation are the norms if you use certain principles.
We would have more harmony, love, and true peace if we all remembered how magical we are and what powers of manifestation reside in our being. The principles of manifestation contain magic. There is a miracle mindset. Here are the tools.
- Ask – The universe will respond to the ASK. What do you want? Get clear about this and invite the universe to support you. The ask can be a prayer, in meditation, or requesting a prayer partner to support you in your desires.
- Listen – This is all about getting still. Meditation? Journaling? Listening to quiet music? Visioning? Hiking? Whatever you do, do it often. The more you practice being still, the easier it becomes to hear the outpouring of wisdom from the infinite.
- Act – You must move into action. It does not have to be a quantum leap. Small, deliberate steps are extraordinarily powerful.
- Expect Goodness – Emma Curtis Hopkins, a mystic, tells us to stand in an expectancy of good. It is powerful to know beyond any circumstance, goodness resides. The more you expect great things, the quicker they appear.
- Trust the process – Now, this is where the rubber meets the road. The answers do not always come the way we plan. Quite often, it is nothing like we planned. What if you were convinced you were guided in every moment? That means, no matter what it looks or feels like, you are supported.
What I want you to know is that the universe is here for you. It is a constant mirror showing you how much magic there is. It is conspiring for your health, your wellbeing, success, and abundance.
The women at our conference learned to call in their angels, magnetize their good, and create magic wands. If you or a woman you know is looking to up-level, please visit https://womencreatingourfutures.com and explore the online mastermind or AWE programs. I am very excited to support women in new ways of being and manifesting.

Know that you are loved, and the world needs your best, most potent self, right now. Let’s play together.
Much love and light,
Cynthia
