We just completed our 4th annual Women Creating Our Futures conference. Our 2019 theme is Dare To Be Bold. We welcomed 150 women to experience their power, beauty, and expansion. My heart is still smiling as so many women took a stand to be and live a more bold life. As I was witnessing the connections, emotions, and declarations, I thought, “These women are in the process of becoming masters of their destiny.” Witnessing many blossoming women makes me so happy because I had to work hard to claim my place in the world. I had to learn to consistently stand for how I wanted to live and shine in the world. I had to become a master of my life. It is still a work in progress, yet every day I become bolder in being me.
I believe one of the reasons for my growth is entirely because of incredible women in my life. I call them my tribe. Over the years, I have been so blessed to be with many in prayer circles, mastermind groups and with individual coaches who saw me, supported me and insisted I stand in my power. One day I stood in front of the fantastic Lisa Nichols crying because I felt so insecure. She looked at me and said, “You are crying because you don’t see what I see in you.” This moment opened a portal for me to take control of my life and my choices in a new way. The moment invited me to take a leap of faith and jump into the life I had always dreamed as mine.
Supporting Others in Dream Building
For many years, I worked for others and was committed to stand in excellence in support of visions, which were not for me. Five years ago, I decided to become a solo entrepreneur. It was scary and exhilarating at the same time. When I joined a leadership program, I began to understand the power of masterminding with a group. Not only did I get to share my dreams, desires, and challenges, I also received impactful input, feedback, and suggestions of others dedicated to helping me look at things from another perspective. This experience became the seed for the online Mastermind program in Women Creating Our Futures.
As I began the process of creating Women Creating Our Futures with my business partner, Jean Hendry, we were clear we wanted to create a platform for women to have significant breakthroughs. We wanted them to feel like they were with their personal board of directors, a success team who saw them and their dreams. We also did not want this to be a four-week course, which left people hanging without support. Therefore, we designed a mastermind, which is a three-month program including training from both of us, and dedicated coaches. We also added experts from many modalities to support women to move in the direction of their dreams. We were committed to helping our participants become masters of their destiny. Every February we invite women to join us to co-create and expand into their greatness.
Over the years, women have come in afraid, lost, confused, and in significant transition. Our first intention is to help them feel safe and learn to listen to their inner voice. The brainstorming, accountability groups, and guidance become the pathway to manifesting their desires. We witness dreams and visions coming alive.
Steps To Become a Master of Your Life
- Get real about where you are. Do not judge. Just be willing to look honestly at your current reality and choices.
- Write down what you desire. Nothing is too big, and you do not have to know how to get there.
- Look for support: a coach or counselor, a prayer group or a mastermind experience.
- Be willing to invest in you and the support you need.
- Only say yes to something or someone you know will hold you accountable to your vision.
- Commit to taking small steps to build the foundation of your shift.
I am sure you have a dream inside of you. You may not know how to manifest it. I invite you to claim your vision, dream big and dare to be bold enough to go after it unapologetically. You are a unique imprint on this earth to deliver your gifts and your wisdom.
